Spring Break Covid-19 Testing

In preparation for returning to school, please review and follow COVID-19 protocols to help ensure a safe learning environment for all Los Angeles Unified students and staff. 

En preparación para el regreso a la escuela, por favor revise y siga los protocolos de COVID-19 para ayudar a garantizar un ambiente de aprendizaje seguro para todos los estudiantes y el personal del Distrito Unificado de Los Ángeles.

It is recommended, but not required, for students to test within 48 hours of entering campus. Please note we are distributing rapid antigen tests to all students and staff on or before the last day of school prior to spring break. These tests have varying expiration dates. However, they are authorized for use beyond their expiration date by the California Department of Public Health, see letter in English and Spanish. 

Se recomienda, pero no se requiere, que los estudiantes se hagan la prueba dentro de las 48 horas de entrar al plantel. Por favor, tenga en cuenta que estamos distribuyendo pruebas rápidas de antígeno a todos los estudiantes y el personal el último día de clases o alrededor del último día antes de las vacaciones de primavera. Estas pruebas tienen diferentes fechas de vencimiento, sin embargo, el Departamento de Salud Pública de California autoriza su uso después de la fecha de vencimiento, vea la carta en English y en Español.

The rapid tests should be taken at home 24-48 hours before students and staff return to school.

Las pruebas caseras rápidas se deberán administrar 24-48 horas antes de que los estudiantes y el personal regresen a la escuela.

Thanksgiving Break Covid-19 Testing

As the District prepares for the return to school after Thanksgiving Break, your child’s safety is our #1 priority. Our school has distributed 1 rapid antigen test kit to all students. Please test your child 24-48 hours before returning to school. 

• If your child tests negative, no action is needed. 

• If your child tests POSITIVE, PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL. 

  • Instead, keep your child at home, 

  • Contact your child’s doctor to make a plan for care, and 

  • Upload the POSITIVE test result to dailypass.lausd.net as soon as possible.

Mientras el Distrito se prepara para el regreso a la escuela después del receso del Día de Acción de Gracias, la seguridad de su hijo(a) es nuestra máxima prioridad. Nuestra escuela ha distribuido 1 kit de prueba rápida de antígeno a todos los estudiantes. Por favor, haga la prueba a su hijo(a) dentro de las 24-48 horas antes de regresar a la escuela.

● Si su hijo(a) da negativo, no se requiere ninguna acción. 

● Si su hijo(a) da POSITIVO, POR FAVOR NO LLEVE A SU ESTUDIANTE A LA ESCUELA. 

○      En lugar de ello, mantenga a su hijo(a) en casa, 

○      Comuníquese con el médico de su hijo(a) para desarrollar un plan de atención, y 

○      Cargue el resultado POSITIVO de la prueba en dailypass.lausd.net lo antes posible.

Week 1 Covid Testing

At the end of the first week of school, all students and staff should take another antigen test over the weekend. Please upload ALL test results, no matter if you test negative or positive.

Covid-19 Testing

In preparation for the school year beginning on August 15, all students and employees, both vaccinated and unvaccinated,  should participate in baseline COVID testing by picking up an antigen test from school and testing 48 hours prior to returning. This is in accordance with the most recent guidance from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.

We will no longer be conducting weekly PCR testing and will shift to response testing.
